Wow! This post was really interesting on many levels. You have electronic glitches, family dynamics, retail pressures, customer service, economic crises, timelines and more, all wrapped neatly into one post! I could sense the feelings of pressure. Well done!

Well it might be a put off for any other wash business to copy your method. i don't know if the men with the trucks are still at the supermarket,if not I might go back there occasionally I didn't want my car scratched and pay for the privilege.

Very annoying! It shows you how 'stupid' these 'smart' set-ups can be! I guess you handled it well - it would drive me around the bend...
