Kabu, it's heartwarming to read this today. You seem truly happy, bless you both.

PS - I'm still waiting for my peonies to flower, it just hasn't been warm enough yet.

Oh those flowers are so beautiful. You and Wiley could make a home in a box car with your ability to pretty it up and his and you love for one another. How do you get these photos on face book. Do you still use Photobucket?

Wiley is your home....wherever he is that is where your home is....he makes all the difference between a house and home...don't you agree?

I enjoyed reading this brief history of your residence. As someone who had his house renovated before moving in, it feels great to see the end result, especially after having worked for it.

I love the idea of a bold yellow warning stripe on the bottom step.

My bifocals do a number on depth perception where stairs are concerned, and what you see isn't necessarily what's really there. I remember Wiley Coyote's posts when he was wooing the girl from the other side of the world, how he worked to feather the love nest where he hoped one day she'd settle in. Perhaps that's why it bothers him so much that he can't work so long and hard - it's love he wants to give.  I also like the idea that the house is built from wood timbers that grew nearby - it's organic.

I guess you would either love or hate a unique property like this, more and more folk will find places like this more desirable in time because it is a one off built into history. I like the way you present your peonies they give the room that special charm.

Having had the pleasure to get to see it - I can attest that it's a lovely place exuding warmth...

I can't believe the poor woman died that way. Although, I will say it sounds cozy and

 the area sounds beautiful.
