I agrre, though I have to say, I am getting so frustrated with the plumber and tiler not being available all summer that I am tempted to do it myself. It would be nice to have the main bathroom usable again... sigh.

I am not, and never have been a plumber or an electrician.  That's when I get really, really helpless acting.  Same with flat tires.  I've never changed a tire in my life, though I've had quite a few.

Well what a daisy, even I know one turns the water off at the main pipe and it is usually under the sink. There is another one that links the domestic pipe to the big main pipe, so if you cannot turn the one off under the sink, you have to find the other one. It usually entails one putting one's hand right down into a slug ridden hole ours is usually filled with surface water. This has nothing to do with the mains water. Do you submit. I know you have your own supply, I was just testing.

I imagine that was quite the scene with all the water there. Good job getting things straight there...I have had a few of those moments at the businesses.

Like Calvin Crow, let Mr. Graysome supervise the workers. But Calvin would supervise Mr. Graysome love. Animal psychologists need to study crows love.

LOL - I can relate! Leave the plumbing to the plumbers.

Kabu

Yep, you're right - stick to your broom unless you want the house awash in workmen...

Nothing like flooding in a house to make you appreciate

getting back to boring old everyday dusting and tidying up...
