Spring has arrived in Ohio and I am fighting dandelions.  A lot easier than rocks, and it rather like their tenacity.  Thank you for your writing.

Consider yourself fortunate. My wife has tried several ways of attracting hummingbirds into our yard ( special feeders, specific bushes, etc. ) with very, very little success. She would love to see a few each day hovering around! Oh well, there's always the squirrels and butterflies and chipmunks and bluebirds and bunnies and . . .

I expect its roots will go down under the rock in time so don't worry. You know you should not be doing things like that at your age, but but is no use telling you.  If I had been around I would have just dug another hole, but then I am, not a perfectionist .

Try tickling each other.

Kabu

Oh what a blessing your writing is! You are bringing sunshine where there is often none. Be blessed as you bless others.

Our hummingbirds are here, but I haven't seen a pussywillow in years.

I know you'll enjoy having that tree long after the aches have faded.

We've got bees and hummingbirds around here now, too. And I put all the chairs back on the front porch, so we can sip some iced tea and enjoy the shade...
