Interesting, a good culture in several ways; I love the food albiet Americanized.  I am not quite as brave about snakes as you, but am willing to live and let live.  I am glad they are letting some of the Florida pythons go, having kids or myself as digestion for a monster is not what i want if they should start taking over!!!

I would love to be in Hong Kong for New Year some day, I hear the celebrations are quite gorgeous (although I'd have to be visiting a friend as I understand that very little is open :P )

I like snakes too, as long as they don't rattle that is. And yes, My neighbors are celebrating with fireworks, I suppose we will all be Chinese soon enough, in one way or the other.

You will have to scale back your strange phobia I can't twist my mind around you swallowing a mouse as I try to eat my brekky .

Can't think of a thing to say that hasn't already been said.  So, I'll have another spring roll please.

Kabu

I share Adnohr's disgust and fear of snakes. But I loved your post.  I too like Asian food. Those snakes abandoned in Florida have left our whole eco system a mess in the Everglades. Have a lovely year and a Happy everyday any year.

I am a sand and surf kind of girl  loll)  Be well my friend  xoxoxo

Uh huh - my Tiger sign wants to get up and go, whereas the Snake year is one forcing quiet mediation. See? Even in astrology I want to get away from them....

Now Kabu, I like snakes too, but I'll pass on letting them wrap around my waist!

Another fan of snakes here...

with the same caveat: non-venomous and not bigger than I am!

Happy year of the snake to you, Kabu...

I can't say I've ever had one for a companion, at least not one that didn't have two legs. LOL.

I am a snake but they give me the creeps! I shuttered when I read how your snake wrapped itself around! I couldn't do but more power to you because you can! Happy Chinese New Year to you, too! sam

Kabuiepie-;)~

Great post darlin'. I really like how the offspring honour and take care of their parents. We should tell our kids about that, if we can find 'em.

Kabu

I like snakes too! Problem is with a dog and a cat...Of course, I don't know what's more dangerous to cats and dogs - a Chinese or a snake...
