Nautikos-the kids I work with get very attached. They are wary for the first couple of weeks, but once they attach to you and the routine, it's difficult for them to change.

Shows you are good at your work with the way the kids have behaved.
Good for you...and yes it does read like the Twilight Zone!!! the book thing is very exciting and all the best.
