I agree with you Kabu. I think our capacity to hate diminishes when we have been through devastating things ourselves. I just wish for peace and serenity for everyone.

I would love to see people let go of the hatred as well...Here's hoping that it happens.

I don't know, I think you have got what all those ideologies claim to offer: happiness.
I am trying hard to maintain an attitude free of hate and prejudice because I truly believe that nothing can be built from that mindset and I admire anyone who can do it

Kabu....
I, too, find peace in the quietness of the early morning. Peace in the home or in the world is what we should all strive for. Thanks for sharing. I feel your peace and love in my heart.

This is what I call a peaceful thinking. If governments think like you there would be no wars and everyone would live in peace

That's really wonderful of you Kabu - to hope for peace everywhere. If half the world had your way of thinking, I think we will be on the right track!!

Nature has a way of doing that. When the ills of the world get to me and my wife, a quiet afternoon in the breezeway, watching the critters scurry to and fro, no TV, no radio, no political discussions, just peace and quiet . . . that's our "tonic!"

We could use about seven billion more just like you, Kabu.
What a wonderful world that would be. :)

Oh how I wish your prayers could come true, but we both know that is folly. I think if I had no grand children to worry about I would feel diferantly, but as I do I feel that I must stand true to my values and principles...Things most world leaders have never had...They get in the way of their lies.
I pressed spell check, as we all know I need, but it just kept spinning and spinning so I had to post two comments.

I have never, ever understood why peoples of different races and ideas and religions hate one another with such passion-or, more to the point, dispassion-myself Grandmummy. I have faced hatred myself, and while I was once guilty of hating back, I have begged God to forgive me my hatred, and I believe that He has.
It doesn't matter where in the world we come from. We were created by God the Almighty Father and He loves us ALL equally. Jesus asked us to love and respect and forgive one another...Yet time after time, we break His laws of peace.
Why?
I too pray that one day the world will learn to find and live in Shalom...In peace.
Yes, enjoy your peace with Poppy. Shut out the world, for the only one you truly need is God.
