Many may be happier free, but displays can serve them  to live an easier life and make people more aware of animals.  Nice pics, have not known much about either one of those.

Darling little chinchilla.  Makes me wonder how it might have gotten along with Mr. Graysome.   Would you believe that Peter had a really big tarantula for years in a big glass aquarium sitting on top of his piano.  He loved taking care of it and playing with it and showing it off.  His mom made him get rid of it before he went off to the Marines because she refused to take care of it.

BC-A in Wonderland

RCalvin the Crow could tame the Chinchilla better than he’s tried to Jaden. The Chinchilla could then meet Frilly the Squirrel and maybe from afar Woolly the Cat. I noticed that the white I think (trimmed by someone) Persian has a big pink nose. I pointed it out to him. I pet him with my finger through the back door. It’s kind of like the mall pet shop in reverse love.  BC-A, Bill’s R®st

Well Kabu hold on to your whatits. Once I read a book all about chinny chin chillas I have disguised them here. They were advertised as way to house and breed for the fur. I was so tempted to have some, but they looked so sweet that I knew I would not be able to knock them on the head and skinny skin, skin them. So I had bears instead and made rugs,

I am amazed by just how large pythons are.

I always find pet stores a little upsetting, but then I never liked crowds or cages...

I have a friend on FB who works with animal rescue.

She's always posting photos of dogs that have been rescued and need a good home. I feel so sorry for the poor things. If I lived out in the country where they could get out and run I'd have a couple.

As much as I love snakes and am completely fascinated by them, I do think they belong in the wild. They just were not made to be pets. My heart breaks for that little chinchilla. They are so adorable I just can't believe people kill them for their fur.

I don't have any hang ups with snakes until it comes time to feed them. We even have some garter snakes out in the garden. My daughter raised some rabits and decided she wanted one for dinner, but I could not bring myself to do it...I just couldn't.

Kabu

When people buy pets they should take care of them until death do they part. Our Everglades are being ruined and people endangered because so many people have bought pythons and tired of them tossed them. They are not native to this country and have no foes in the Everglades. They are doing away with all the natural wildlife there. It is even difficult to find them they have killing parties but they are not making a dent in them.
