Re: tamijo,
That's so sweet Amanda. I hope my kids feel that way about me!

tamijo,
I am a former special ed student. My paras were a blessing. Many of them are still close friends.

Re: Re: Goodness me, is it back to school already for you?
NO No I meant here in Canada it is holidays from JUly to After the first week in September, so they break up later than you do, but then they start their year later.
In Australia they break up just before Christmas and go back to school the last days of January.(Summer time in Australia.) Then every ten weeks they get 2 weeks off. 4 terms in all

Kabu - is it a year round school? They've talked about doing that here. I don't know if I'd like it. I really enjoy my summers to myself.

Re:
I agree FormerStudent. I just wish the other staff felt the same way. We are always treated like the ugly stepsisters!

It's hard to believe that it's that time of the year...That is great what you do. Paraprofessionals are so essential.

Yep. We got out May 10th and start back Aug. 9th. I don't mind though because we get 2 weeks at Christmastime and 1 week for spring break.
