Go for it!! Failing an art class just means you didn't paint the way the teacher wanted you to, art is about finding your own style anyway so the fail was invalid

Your garden is so artistic and colorful that I believe you must be able to paint really well too. Kids can fail when they have attitudes; I doubt it was any reflection on your artistic talent, even then.

With your eye for composition and design, I'd bed you could
paint anything with just a bit of practice. The point is to have fun.
