I think she did the right thing, too! So many things can go wrong when alcohol is involved! The other parents should receive a citation for their poor parenting! sam

it is always good to have a support team. I used to keep my cats trimmer in the summer when I had adopoted the neighborhood cats several years back.

I feel sorry for the stepmommy because she feels the hurt of teenage words. Someday, the children will know that her actions come from a place of love.
Thank you for your prayers for my SIL. The inner bleeding seems to be healing and hopefully tomorrow they will be able to tell how much damage has been done to the spline and liver. Love You!

She is a terrific mom. Better to be the witch and protect your children than to not care and have something dreadful happen that you will forever regret.

Kabu....I would not want to go back to those days of raising teenagers....
And there seem to be so many more temptations these days for kids to get into. The clothes these girls wear these days revealing so much; we were frowned upon as teenagers in our day!! No, it's time to go cuddle with Wiley and continue your support through email from Canada!

It's so tough raising teenagers nowadays...Thankfully my sister and I were easy on our parents.

Good for that mother. The kid will thank her one day
and will certainly have more respect for her mom when she's a bit older. And there's always less chance that she'll end up in a car wrapped around a tree or in a head-on accident because of alcohol, overconfidence and the distractions of having loud teenagers in the car...

++ It seems also silly really, just to blow one's mind, but I suppose the young desire to be uninhibited amongst their peers. No one likes to be different, the trouble today is that most parents have no influence over their children and when a decent parent tries to steer the child through the influences that are around today, it does calls resentment.
Having said that, I don't think kids could afford parties and the parents certainly would not have given them alcohol or allowed it to be consumed on the premises. In the old old days.
