It is an unusual year for crows I think. We have a great flock of them in our hard this year and some of them are huge.
That is one hunk you fell in love with....

I think crows and magpies are my favorite birds. When I worked on the ranch I took a young magpie from a nest in a fallen tree and raised it. It used to ride on my shoulder when I was on the tractor or riding my horse.I loved that bird.

Maybe you did not actually paint him in the picture.. but in your mind and heart, I think you had painted what you wanted and needed

The crows are more entertaining than the news for me! But, their nearness is too much as well! Just can't win some days! Thanks for stopping in to see me, it's been rough but I seem to be getting either better or used to the medication every day! One day I suspect I shall be good as new! Love your painting, great way to entertain and to share! KUDOS! sam

So, there's a courtship, the engagement party, the wedding...
then they move into their first apartment, move again when the little ones arrive. I'm assuming all these formalities take place in a much shorter time frame than the social conventions for people...
