Hehe! This reminds me of an incident in high school with my best friend Becky, Tamijo. It was late spring just before I graduated, and there was some construction going on at the school...
So, Becky and I were walking to our anatomy(no less!)class and as we were talking Becky literally ran into the wall! As I went to see if she was okay, she bumped into me. It didn't take me long to see why she stumbled...
She was too busy checking out the guys on the roof to pay attention to where she was going!
Ah, the wiles of the teen-aged female!

Your road trips sound wonderful and the kids picture taking made me smile. 
Ours is a historic town ' Harpers Ferry WV' if you ever travel this far then let me know and I'd be glad to treat you and yours to lunch. Fall is a beautiful time to be here with all the Mtns. and colorful trees.

That's so funny what the kids did! LOL! I took my kids to museums, too! They did not appreciate it until they were older and they still thank me for having done it! sam
