Yuk. I would have wanted him to help the snake escape. Nature is too cruel in some cases. I don't care for either creature, but that would be too much to watch without intervening. Sorry the arachnids have gotten too big in Australia.

I usually admire the industriousness of spiders
and the bug munching qualities of garden snakes. But I don't want to even think about a spider as big as my hand with a web strong enough to capture a snake. What if this spider's offspring should grow even larger, and their webs strong enough to hold a small dog? Ewww, gross!

I really like spiders, but I like snakes too! I would have watched this with very mixed feelings...And I think TAPS is right, the whole thing does sound kinda gross...

How gross. And I just got through looking at an email from Justi showing big brown recluse spiders and horrible wounds caused by bites of them on people. Now this gory description of a spider the size of a hand. And I didn't like spiders to begin with.
