Re: Wiley
Justi~Thank you luv, yes he is living at 'home' in their new apartment since my sister got out of hospital after she broke down over taking care of him I'm thinking.
She wouldn't go into hospital willingly so I had to e-mail my nieces with details of a telephone call I received from their mother so they could get a court order to have her hospitalized. They kept her in hospital for a month.
She called me yesterday on my birthday and it sounds like she has a 'grip' now and I got to speak to 'Mike' too, who sounded good to me in French and English. But I know that is not how he really is all the time anymore.
That is amazing work you and George are doing love. God Bless you both.

There has to be some miracle underneath all that, some key that can be turned. Be blessed dear lady.

I so hope they see them as golden eggs. I have begun something for mother's and father's day now. I believe they should enjoy as much of the pleasures of the days that others do as they can.

I think we have no idea how much it really can manage. I wish I knew more about this disease, it is incredible.

I am sorry about your BIL. You would be surprised there are more than a few that are 60, 50 perhaps even in their 40s. Most are in their 70-90+ range. Is he living at home? That can be very difficult. We will keep him in our prayers.

We all do something for others in some sort of way that makes life better. We happen to be available to them. They need a lot of time from a lot of people and we are doing a small part of it. I just love it when they, as you say, appear to get some sunshine into their lives. Thank you,

Yes, it is a sad plight. Looking at a person who is thinking of something yet nothing in this immediacy nor of any importance to their lives except that it goes back, back and on and on. We rely on their finding joy in those old things. We sing songs from their era, talk about things of that time and they can associate to some degree. It blesses us...

Yes darling I could not remember Faberge. That is exactly why I do what I do. I have so little to give in any direction, but to them it is enough. Their life appears better. Thank you for your comment.

There were golden eggs to those who held them
Because they were a symbol, even if it felt small to you, they were a symbol that somebody cared. God bless you for your loving, generous heart.

I always feel sad looking at these people, so lost in and longing to be found in a strange way. Perhaps a cure will come, there does appear to be hope of arresting the symptoms, I hope it will soon be available to many. You must have that rest you deserve and George, take care

What a wonderful thing you did! Alzheimer's is a very difficult disease - my father-in-law had it. I am eternally grateful to you and others who can brighten their day. Thank you.
