It should be the goal of every student to surpass or prove a teacher wrong so that the bar can be raised by anyone! Good for him and sail onward! sam

Great, and I hope he does well! Cat' sailing is fun - I've done a bit of it myself, on Hobies (14' and 16'), although I never did any racing in (on?) them...

Teachers who say stuff like that to children are 99% guaranteed
to be proven wrong. A toxic soul like that has no place in a classroom.
