They look like characters from the children's cartoon "Dinosaur Train!"

I've known geese that liked to chase, and Bantam roosters can

be aggressive, but the Cassowary seems to have a permanent mad on. Still, I'd like to see one (from a distance).

What a bird!

I've never seen so much hair on one and they do have a pretty head and neck. Reminds me of a turkey in some ways. Wonder why they're so grouchy, lol. Very interesting, Dear Kabu

Hmmm. Do those birds eat snakes?

I would not want to look after one of these if it was broody, perhaps they do not sit on their eggs. A very interesting bird though.

Wow Kabu, that is one ugly bird! Don't think I would want to make him mad.

Kabu

Great pics! Boy, this Cassowary is an interesting bird, and dangerous, LOL...About the Kakadu: There's a video on YouTube entitled 'Kakadu vs Dog', and the bird is probably a Cockatoo. I now think Cockatoo is simply the anglicized version of the Aboriginal name for the bird, Kakadu...

That was an interesting post as are all your Aussie posts love. I'd be wary of that 'Casowary' but then I have my Kabuowary that I love.
