We had to put one of those on the basement stairs to keep the grandkids from falling down. Worked pretty good.

When grandson Phil was little, Son had to install Dutch door (top half opens separately) for his bedroom because he never slept.

she was certainly a little horror to live with. Sleep deprivation can just
ruin those years. I had a Grandson that never slept and if he fell asleep in the day i could give him three minutes only. Any longer and he would be awake all night and his parents would get no sleep. His Mother was very strict. No sleeping during the day. Sometimes i would hear him singing in his cot and his family would all be asleep from exhaustion and not know that he had been sitting in the cot playing with a toy and just singing.
