Go to A DAY OR SO IN MY LIFE! WHO CARES?

- Go to THIS IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED
I can really relate to everything you said. It seems the older you get, the faster everything goes and the less time there is to do things you want to do. But, some of those things aren't as important as they used to be. Life usually doesn't end up the way we think it will. Our attitude about what happens and our faith and trust in God makes all the difference. I am thankful to have the Lord in my life.

Yes I can relate to all you wrote luv.I have to think before I act physically now with a not so good a ticker

system. I am still not used to ACCEPTING things, like I can't carry in 6 bags of groceries in one shot anymore. I am accepting that I won't get to see Australia as much as I would have liked to, but I'm happy I can still drive here and there. We are facing our mortality luv, I'll be 75 in April. God Bless you and we love you both.

LAY UP YOUR TREASURES IN HEAVEN, SO YOU WILL HAVE ETERNALLY TO LIVE IN PEACE, EVERYTHING HERE WILL SOON FADE, I LIKE TO LOOK AT LIFE THIS WAY, EACH DAY BRINGS ME ONE DAY CLOSER HOME, ONE LESS DAY TIL I SEE JESUS, ONE MORE DAY TO TELL SOMEONE ABOUT GOD, SO DON'T FEEL OLDER , JUST FEEL CLOSER TO HOME. MAY GOD BLESS

I am fast heading that way too, at least in age, but wonder if there will ever be a time when I will not need to work for that next damn dime, or worry about the country I love...if only for my grand children.

I feel differently and my mind thinks as a young person, and I found that I dont care to hang out or around older people, as that is what makes you old. Most the people I am around are young, and I am inspired by their dreams, all though my body cant keep up any more

Nothing is what we dream Justi. Once I wanted to own a farm I even had it marked out with railings all the way round and green grass to walk through listening to the sky larks sing. In reality Farms are muddy creations and animals cannot be treated as pets. WE all have dreams Valleys look nice until one has to walk up and down them. No we have to be thankful for what we can do even sleep feels nice at times. Let someone else knock that old barn down one day once someone was proud of building such a magnificent structure.

i want wiley john to read this because i think he is on the same page
of his book as what you are......he would and does do anything for me but he just can't manage like he did and things like going to australia with me just aren't going to happen.
I encourage him to do things that he enjoys...a good book...making bread, sharing with me, taking small drives and as the spring evolves to potter around while I plant and organize my gardens, my gnomes, and my rocks. we have the screened porch and everything that we need to enjoy a beautiful life.......I know that you do too...all the things that count. take care of you, much loved lady.

We can't stop daring to dream, Justi, it's just that the dreams have changed some. We move on. As for that old barn - even if we can't lift the huge hammer, it doesn't take much energy to light a stick of dynamite (then ummm..hide!), or to throws seeds from a package and watch Nature create your beautiful garden; she does a fine job too! We need to train our bodies and mind to create different ways of doing things, is all. When I get on that train, I want a bunch of people standing around watching me leave, scratching their heads and saying "Sh*t! What do we do now?"

That blessed me so much. I know exactly what you mean. I can't remember the man's name in the plaid coat but I have heard them a lot and love that, although I think I am going to have a chauffeured trip with a huge Angel. We can sit in the little garden areas and have tea and talk of all the beauty. I think we will know one another even if we haven't met.

Dear lady I am glad I was there to spread a good word, but it is all the work of the Lord. He loves you and wants to put people in your path to help you, as you have helped many.

I think we're in pretty much the same place Justi. I feel like I am biding my time with my ticket in my hand waiting for The Glory Special.

I understand what you are saying too! I don't have regrets even though I have not done all the things I have wanted to do! I do know one thing that the experiences you have had in this life and your closeness to the Lord helps people gain more meaning for theirs; and I am one of those you have helped along the way! And, I never thought I would become disabled to the point where my mobility would be taken away but I don't second guess for the Lord gave me the world when He led me to Blogit! sam
