Azur, apologies for the late response and reading.

I am never good at consolation but I must point out how priviliged and lucky we are when others care enough about us to want our presence and help, no matter how fulfilling or distressing it is, and no matter how inadequate we feel when we cannot always "make it right" for everyone at the same time.

Imagine the opposite.(Oh, wait, Dickins already did, fellow named "Scrooge"..).

What a tender and heart-rending time you have had.  I'm so sorry.  I remember what that was like when my Grandmother died on Christmas Day many years ago.  God bless you and comfort you in your time of grieving.

Azur

My sincere condolences of course! At moments like these I am always reminded of John Donne, "...send not to know for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee..."

But I wish you and your little girl as Merry a Christmas as possible...

Oh, I'm so sorry.
Rain and sun and loss and joy. How well you do that. I've missed reading you lately. Clearly you were needed elsewhere than at the Blogit keyboard. Be well.
