Amen, brother
I, too, am adamantly opposed to censorship, including censorship of material I find to be vulgar or in poor taste.  Freedom of speech means exactly that.  Besides, as sam444 said, if it offends you, exercise your freedom to ignore it.  While I'm communicating again, for a change, I also want to thank you for all of your kind and perceptive comments.  I'll be back to catch up with what you are up to these days.

I think one does what the lady did, if it offends then get rid of it! Words are simply that, words! I will defend anyone's right to say what they want for I want the same privilege! I thought you did a very nice job of supporting your position! One thing I do get tired of hearing in films is the 'F' word! sam

I'm back to say thank you for your comment. That was such an interesting tale about your adventure in Mexico. You are right, things will have changed considerably and not for the better. I see it here in Turkey, where I am right now. When I bought my little place six years ago it was not much more than a fishing village and I could furnish the place for a song and a dance. Now, it's so bad and touristy, you hardly know you are in Turkey at all and my place is up for sale! The sooner the better.

Puh, food for thought my friend. I actually read this post twice. What do I think? First, a word becomes ugly only in context and never by itself. Secondly, it becomes ugly, as you so rightly say, when pronounced in a certain way and accompanied by mimicry and gestures. Such behaviour should never be censored, but simply ignored if perceived as offensive. Also not everythigng or every word is offensive to all people. And lastly, I don't like people who use what's commonly referred to as 'swear words' mindlessly or because they think it makes them appear 'cool'.
