lustorlove, you are already a wonderful person. You might look right in the mirror and tell it whatever anybody says that is now what is true about you is a lie. Next forgive yourself. Learn to love yourself. No matter what you do or do not believe about God - He loves you so much. He has a plan for your life one that will help you and not harm you. Just relax and have a little fun and don't worry about becoming anything, just love who you are.

You are exactly right. Going to church may make you religious but not a Christian. I totally agree with you when someone is reading the Bible or going to church to judge the others maybe they are missing the point. I find Christianity not to be the same as Religion. However, as I have said many times only what God says to do is the right thing not the church house. Those who are doing his will are his. Yes your daughter is doing so great work if she is able not to have to pay too high a price for a young woman. I just appreciated your telling me how you felt.
In the four Gospels you will find Jesus was so disgusted with the churches (Temple) priest and all those who do exactly what you are talking about. I try not to think about them too much unless they hurt my feelings and many do. All churches do not have everything rote. But I just want you to know I think you are on track and if you ever feel moved to go to a church give it a try, expecting to find those there not at all perfect far from it.

I said that because I feel going to church in most cases people who are there to see what the next person is wearing and when prayers and scriptures are memorized and said without real feelings is hypocritical of many people. The ministers and priest are there to try and keep the people coming back. My mom believed she was religious because she went to church but at the same time would speak badly of people who were not the same color, or of those that were a different size than she. I was one of those and she put me and my family down for that reason. I just have a hard time accepting that church is the right way, but at the same time I don't like to see people coming door to door scaring us that the world is coming to an end. It is in God's plan when the world will come to and end and when we will leave this life as we know it. I have never lost a child but I can imagine that would be one of the worse things that could happen to you. My daughter sees people as people and it doesn't matter to her if they are white, black grey or purple and she helps those that need help, by not turning her back on them. He bf is an x addict and she keeps him free of drugs, and some of her best friends are gay as some turned their back on them, they too were created by the same God that created all of us.

Oh I do appreciate that. I don't want to be in that argument either. If I spend half my time doing what my faith requires of me and the other half allowing others to be as they choose without browbeating from eitere side; I am full time busy. I so appreciate your attitude that you have chosen and expect others to do the same about to faith or not to faith.

Without getting into the debate on the Bible as a telemarketing tool - and though I have no faith of my own, I never concern myself with anyone else's faith, but rather what they
do with that faith...
