me and my uncle and my cusin used to take cold grits with a little salt fishing, in a zip lock bag when we would get in the creek and go fishing. Good post.

.... can you believe it?  I never knew what "grits" were!  Duh.  For some reason I always thought it had something to do with pork.  Duh again.

Sorry I did not get to the editing until you read this. You are so right, when is Supper? They lend themselves to so many uses. You can use them instead of rice in almost all cases and potatoes. I love using them. I like blending them with wild rice after cooking the wild rice in a variety of dishes.

Sounds like I could put some jalapeno peppers and chopped onion, chorizo and jack cheese and serve with salsa.  What do you think?
