I think I may speak for all who know you. I don't know the whole story of recent times but the best Christmas present we could have from you is that YOU ARE HERE WITH US! You are loved by many many people I am sure. Here on Blogit that is certainly true. God bless you and yours.

Ah Justi that spirit of yours gets me everytime! This year I will only buy for the g/children but wish I could give every person something special...My addy book is a real mess but I thought about sending out old fashioned Christmas cards this year via snail mail...I doubt Santa will think me as a good girl this year so my usual lump of coal will come in handy with heating prices as high as they are...

That is awesome. Last year we sent live pairs of chickens (money for) to Indian families so they could have eggs and chickens all year and it blessed us so much.

We're not doing any "Christmas shopping" this year (ok - for the grandchildren). Instead we bought a least a dozen stuffed animals yesterday and I will drop them off at the community centre to be included in the hampers they are putting together for less fortunate families. It was truly a joy picking out those soft, cuddly toys!

I think you are well on your way to everything. That appears to be a lot and it wholesome and unshelfish.

I braved the sales only because I was with friends... they make it
worthwhile.... i do not want it all, I just want to rescue kitties and find them good homes, get my grad degree and be happy.

My husband and I gave a party before Christmas one time when the ticket to the party was just what you are talking about, blankets, food, anything for children and the elderly for Christmas. That is all that I need! I was so happy that Christmas it was awesome.

Oh I doubt you two will be broke you two are too creative. You will come up with something. It sounds like you are having a great time. I got Wiley's book in the mail and we read it in one night. It is good. So courageous, open and helpful to those who are dying for lack of an out stretched hand. You two are a blessing breath of fresh air in a world without laughter. We need books and more books from both of you.

Justi I'm a shopaholic and so I fear is Wiley. We are such good mates we
will probably be bbroke in a few weeks.

But sales well sometimes yes, usually no cos I hate crowds and picked over tables of stuff.

I never say never, but I surely cannot imagine me doing that. I don't like shopping and I don't care much for crowds.

Thank you for your comment. I too feel that way. I never fight crowds to get one up on anyone. I am glad your daughter made her quota.

I agree with you, Justi................
I don't do any shopping crowds. I never have. Actually, from what my daughter tells me (she's a store director for Steve & Barry's clothing store in a local mall), the people weren't out there this year Her store barely made its quota. I guess we're not the only ones. hahaha
I, too, would rather see money/materials go to the homeless or those who don't have anything. This is a good post, maybe people will dig into their pockets. Love you.
