Life was less complicated when I was at school.. the only ones not attending morning assembly or scripture class were Jehovah's Witnesses. Nobody seemed to mind.. but that was the sixties, long before global mobility and multiculturalism. I guess we're all having to adapt at a pace we're not ready for.

You can't bring prayer into schools because of the numerous different
religious beliefs....it would cause more anger, resentment and fughts than peace....but maybe teaching understanding in the schools would be the positive way to go...

Prayer in school

I do not object to students praying in school, but the teachers should stay out of it in order to avoid putting pressure on students (to pray so as to please the teacher).

A moment of silence seems a good compromise.

MandaLee, I think you are right........
and I'm not sure how many of our children even have any prayer in their lives at all.

I think that two minutes should be set aside for students to pray to whomever.
