Hi Mneme - sometimes we used to pop into the reading room on the way
home from school, after visiting the sweet shop, looking at the daily papers and munching chewy sweets. That's when we weren't flicking ink at each other and the houses, or pressing their doorbells and running away!

Hi Notapoet - it's just ordinary life, though, isn't it?
Thanks - I hope you mean next sunrise - cos I haven't posted since yesterday morning. Oh dear, your poor old computer!

Yes it is Jenasis - I've been neglecting it for a while so it's nice to
rediscover it.

Hi Durbs - yes i agree - I think kids running round the library is funny -
it would be annoying if you were trying to do some serious work but that place was nearly closing anyway at Saturday lunchtime - so what the hell?

this reminds me of when I was in junior school; the library was our favourite place to go after school. Somehow the novelty wore off by grammar school when we spent so much time there doing homework!

Hi Tony,
Loved the ending that made a mental picture in my mind  about libraries I used to go to earlier."The staid readers who stood, or those sat on Chairs at the computers, trying to see Quickly what used to take a life’s reading".

Antonio-yo-yo - Well done and with some ahem moments, too! I love

the library.  While in Austria, our tour stopped at a monastary in Melk.  Wow, what a library they had.  Every volume was hand-written and preserved.  They even found hand-written books in the bindings.  Below is a pic of the library.

Onions, a god complex, hidden song titles
...and a delightful trip to the library.  Whew!  I think I'm up to speed after all my crashes and other surprise stuff.  It's really all your fault.  When you created me in #325 it wouldn't have hurt to make my life flow a little smoother.  I actually was trying to comment on 324 and 325 when my laptop froze up.  The hidden song titles were a nice touch in numero 326.  I would have liked to play that game if I hadn't crashed and burned.  I'll look you up again before the next sunrise.
