Alas, apart from the odd glass of Madeira with her mid-morning seed cake, the abstemious Miss Podmarsh eschews the somewhat dubious delights of alcohol completely!
She views with the utmost horror, not to say loathing and contempt, any form of insobriety, and the deplorably uncouth behaviour that inevitably stems therefrom.
In fact, so vehement is her dislike of such unsociable behaviour that it was only with the utmost difficulty was she retrained by Col. rtd Joseph ( Napalm Joe ) Bonanno, and the stalwart men of the Mon Blogue SWAT Team, from running amok with a machete amongst the tipsy revellers at our recent Bring-and-Buy and Multi-Faith Outreach Initiative with a group of Satanists from Surbiton.
As it was, she put the Satanists to ignominious flight with the flat of her machete ; not to mention the casualties sustained by the SWAT team! The redoubtable lady has lost not an iota of her youthful vigour and pothos, as she calls it.
I wasn't reelly tryin' ter sneak in wivaht bein' seen, guv! 'onnist!
