Re: Re: FALL AND STAY IN LOVE...
Of course one is tempted all along the way.  The more durable the relationship, the harder some will attempt to divide it, almost as if they were "driven".  That's the test.  Some are very difficult to ignore.  We are still our individual selves -- and that's important.  joab

Re: La_Paloma, how true this is.

Damond

Thanks for your compliments and comments on my posts! Truly appreciate that!

Sometimes, I just wonder whether anyone can stay in love for the rest of their life. I think it's possible as you can see old couples holding hands and walking....that gives me hope!

Thanks agaiN!

La_Paloma - Time and communication, most definitely. I think when I
married, I simply wasn't ready, really.  And now that I've aged somewhat, I've learned that people change over time and that's hard to deal with as well.  Lovely post.

FALL AND STAY IN LOVE...

I met Kathleen (my Kate)on Thanksgiving morning, at Venice Beach California, in 1970; and we have been together ever since.  Two fine boys and two lost to miscarriages.  But the years have been good -- not easy -- but nurturing. I shall also die loving my Kate as I did when I first laid eyes on my Irish lassie.  She was 22 and fearless and Irish.  I needed look no further.  I am so proud and thankful.

We hitchhiked for the first 4 years.  Seeing the country -- taking day jobs; lots of things.  But when she became pregnant -- the wanderlust was over and the family began.  j

La_Paloma, how true this is.

La_Paloma, how true this is.  Ask anyone that has been married a long time, and I guarantee that they didn't stay married that long by doing nothing.  It takes work and a lot of it.

I love this piece because of its truth and its simplicity.

You have such wonderful posts. I am reminded here and in the last one of loving unconditionally. Resting in and offering rest for lifes journey to and from the one you love . Beautiful, thoughtful work. ~Peace, OTA

Re: Good, sound, practical advice

Greenfields

That's very true. But, if we embrace the idea and keep walking, at least, we could stay a little bit longer?

Thanks!

Good, sound, practical advice
But ironically, how soon we forget all this, in and out of love?!
