Re: Love your photo!
Greenfields thank you.The amazing thing in Libya is that they are complicating things and making them more elaborate and showy. they have jumped from the traditional almond milk and macaroons into 40 kinds of appetizers and sweets, it is a nightmare.

You have some very elaborate weddings in Usa, but it is the exotic flavor of eastern weddings that makes them so much fun

Love your photo!
And yes, the nostalgia of traditional weddings is true. What is good that many of the traditions made sense. But, some didnt! Ideally, I would like marriage ceremony to build on waht was good and meaningful and leave the regressive ones behind. Yes?

Cute picture. Very interesting. I would love to attend such a wedding. All that time in female company sounds terrific fun.

Very elaborate and fun, as oppose to the ones in
the States... you know, anyone can just fly to Vegas and, well, bam-bam-bam! and you are married.

I am fascinated by your description of these weddings and their ritual. It is also interesting that many people no longer know the true meaning of these rituals, although I would imagine that some still do...
