Living by the right hand of God, comes to mind.  I have a little red, heart rock that I keep in my tiny jeans pocket.  It's my self-respect.  I'm smiling!  Lovely reading about your journey!

You're right Taps
blogit is a mini-United Nations minus the ugly politics. I'm glad you found my post of interest.

Hi Justi

Glad you enjoyed it and I agree the design is a bit primitive but it is realy nice in its own way.

It's amazing how often we miss on beautiful things in our own culture because of prejudice and narrowmindness, it takes time and distance to see what is beautiful about them.

thank you

My dear Bhaskar

My hand is always extended to you, but those hands in the picture are deffinetly not mine,  I wish they were, they are obviously the hands of a lady, mine are that of a mother with short chipped nails and wrinkled skin

thank you for the pic and the comment, you made my day.

Thanks for sharing this with us. Sometimes we have to move away from
our place of origin before we can appreciate all aspects of it.  While we lived in South Africa the flag didnt mean much to me.  Now it is a symbol of everyone and everything I loved and miss.  When I see it I experience a joy,a reassurance that all is right with the world.

Very interesting, lindo
One thing that I love about Blogit is that I learn so many cultural and geographical things from so many people around the world.
