I don't think this is necessarily true.  I think that more people are enlightened these days than several years ago.

 kindness is often painted as weakness: "nice guys finish last" --our culture tells us if we help easily we are SUCKERS! so. a defensiveness prevails against doing good. shalomfromneil

How much will you do for free? How much will you give away of  your own without asking for money in return? My answer is exactly four books worth...More than that they pay for...chuckle
