Oddly enough, I know the feeling!
I've also had times (different but still in the realm of yours) when I'd be driving my boyfriend's truck, knowing full well he's driving my car, and seeing a truck that looked like his and crane my neck to see if it might be him. LOL
Have you ever looked into a mirror and not recognized yourself? That's a weird feeling--a scary feeling, actually.
