Just one more detail I forgot;
What a blessing to have these Blogit friends. The loneliness of chronic pain is near to unbearable when you are unable to be out and about living a social life among friends and family. What a blessing to have them here!

Sorry, I'm really late with this comment........
I completely, totally, whole-heartedly understand. (Are there any other words that express an understanding to the maximum)? J - When your pain is no longer, when those cymbals can be heard for miles and miles around and that time will come, soon, you will be a new you. Just take your first name, add your middle name and run them together. You will need a new name because you will never be the same. I was once Cheryl, my middle name is Ann; I heard it together very seldom except when I was a child being reprimanded. Even so, my Christian, given name is Cheryl Ann. When I became whole, when I evolved from the cocoon of pain I was shackled in for nearly 15 years, I emerged a new creature and I could certainly fly! I became Cherylann! Listen very carefully dear one; can you hear the healing now? It has begun! See you on the other side when you spread your wings to fly! My prayers, my prayers, my prayers, and my prayers are with you.

You just brought a laugh to this house. We do expect a lot from our bodies no matter what we do to them. Thank you for such a lovely comment. Yes that Pat B is a feisty one isn't she. You go Pat B.

How does one answer this beautiful comment then later an awesome poem. I think when you have dealt with something that will not go away, get well or cooperate in any manner you feel alone. I am not alone I know that now; such sweet words and a most undeserving love poem makes me know you simply can't let anything get you down because there are lovely people out there to read, write to, pray for and laugh with. God bless you beautiful lady and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Your presence is a present to the world
You're unique and one of a kind
Your life can be what you want it to be
Take the days just one at a time
Count your blessings, not your troubles
You'll make it through whatever comes along
Within you are so many answers
Understand, have courage, be strong
Don't put limits on yourself
Nothing wastes more energy than worrying
Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets
Remember that a little love goes a long way
Realize that it's never too late
Take the time to wish upon a star
And don't ever forget...
for even a day... how very special you are.

I'm so sorry you are going through this bad patch.. hoping you pick up again soon. I don't blame you for being angry, we are so used to our bodies working properly and when they don't, it must take a lot of adjustment.
I couldn't help smiling at Pat-B's comment - sometimes I can't get my jeans on without sitting down either. I lose my balance and have to hold on to something. I also hope I'll still get away with jeans when I get to my seventies...

Thank you so much. Knowing others is a blessing. i am reading an excellent book now by a blogger on here. It is FybroMYalgia. It is wonderful when it goes away you feel as if you could build a sky scraper and it comes as quickly as it went away. It is nice to talk with you. I don't mean to be a whiner I just am angry because it hurts.

Perhaps I read it before (or should have known it) but I, too, suffer from Fibromyalgia. So I understand your immobility, the frustation, and the longing to just get up in the morning and do the simplest of things. I also understand the annoyance of the neighbourhood barking dog (in your case the dripping water). One such dog lives next door and he pisses me off to no end when I'm having a bad FM day. Hope you swing back into movement soon.

I hate pain. It makes me mean. And angry. I hate pain.
I read nutrition magazines - especially Nutrition Action, put out by Center for Science in the Public Interest. There's a website if you want to Google it. The point being that the scientists have come up with new ideas about Vitamin D, the sunshine vitamin. In most of the country from Nov-Mar you can't get your MDR from sunshine, so you need vitamins with D. And 400 units are no longer the requirement, that's jumped up to 1,000. Unlike "A" you can't overdose on it. But it helps the body assimilate calcium, helps with balance in older people, and is essential to preventing bone loss.
I seem to remember the article on D saying it helps with some auto-immune diseases, but I could have that wrong. In any case, it's cheap and harmless. I notice my own balance is better, I can walk further and steadier (I'm 71). For the first time in a couple years I can put my jeans on standing up.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you -- hope you feel like yourself again very soon.:)
