Featured blogs are selected randomly from a group of the more popular blogs. Since we feature hundreds of blogs each day, you may not see your blog being featured even though it does make it on to the Featured Blogs list.
Blogs are selected based on their overall ranking, not by their ranking within a category, so even if your blog is popular within a category, it may not be featured. The ranking required to be included is subject to change.
Also, recently updated blogs are much more likely to be selected. To increase your rankings and therefore the chance of your blog being featured, please check out this Blogit Help page:

Please also note that we include all Blogit blogs -- including blogs by new writers -- on a variety of lists that appear on the right hand side of the Blogit Home page.
Finally, all new blog entries appear on the page for "New Blog Entries" linked from the home page.
