Quirkyalone,

I tend to love little dolls that look like babies.  I restore them, dress them cute and then end up giving them to my granddaughters. At times, like when I wrap them up like I use to do my babies, it almost makes me want to cry, for those times were so precious to me.**** I have to admit it is fun to check out the new toys in the toy aisles, I push buttons to make all kinds of noise and movements! It does freak me out when some creature almost bounces itself off the shelf, but won't quit until it is done. And it is kinda funny when everyone in the store stares to see where the noise is coming from. ha-ha  I say if you want a Furby, buy it.  Enjoy life Quirkyalone!  This is a cute post.

Haha, hilarious Quirky
I just bought one as a Christmas present for a little one. I'm tempted to free him from the box just to make sure all is in order. So cutely ugly, probably futile to resist. Maybe I should buy another as a companion...

Quirky, I say "Go for It"
Furby Mania Rules!  Why not?  I will now eat that bowl of jello I've been craving and play with "Olliver's" toys ....

Quirky-girl

Yes, sane people do that, and you buy that poor child another Furby. Those things are too cool. Jim's great neice and nephew were visiting last month and I have a basket of old toys for kids and grandkids to play with when visiting and there was a Furby in it that used to be my daughters and we were all having a ball with it. I'm going to tell baby quirky to throw a fit until she gets one.....be a good mommy to your inner kid. Oh also wanted you to know my absence is due to health and moving, not lack of thought. I think of you every day just don't have time to read as I would like.

OMG! The new furby's are cute!
And, I didn't get into the first ones, but the new ones say "Me You Friends?" and if you don't respond he gets sad.  If you say yes, he claps and gets excited!  It's really cute, luckily for me, the girls all want one so I'll get to play!  :)

Quirky,

I'm sad to say that I never had the pleasure of owning a furby...Though my Grammy has two of them.  My roommie and I own their cousins, two shelbys...They're an absolute riot!!

As for being too old to play with toys...YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD....!!!!!....

Quirky, there's nothing wrong with playing with Furbies....

I've got one, too, and I adore him.  I can't hardly keep Offbeat away from him every time she's here.  She absolutely loves him - his name is Gismo,  Gosh, I've had him a long time.  Now, you say they're coming back.  Well, I want one too.  I have more fun with that little guy.

What a great post, Quirky.  And, there's not "BM" (Baby Maggie) in me.  lol

Let the fun begin....as adults we're WAY too serious, WAY too much of the time!    I say, let BQ have her fun.  All work & no play makes for a dull Quirky.  Besides, doesn't she help you write wonderful things for your clients?  Think of her as an unpaid consultant...your client gets two writers for the price of one. (lol...)

Just have fun! You are just getting in touch with your inner child. and after all you have gotten a couple of posts out of it anyway.

BQ

It's OK, yeah, I have kids so I guess an excuse, but I' ve been outgrown by an eight year old.  I have my own Cubs Barbie Doll, and am busted frequently enjoying Disney and Pixar movies with no children in the house.  You're not alone.  Oh yeah, I'm also the parent that gets reprimanded by employees of Burger King for climbing through the playyard.  Don't worry, you're fine, and in very good company.  I'm also the one that annoys the cashiers that have displays that say "Try Me"

I'm hoping that with my children outgrowing me that will have grandkids to let me continue without making a complete spectacle of myself.

Thanks for the laugh...

Quirkybaby, How can you not play with them.   Mine is Sloepoke the Beanie Baby Sloth.    My sisters and I each have one.  We get so silly making little costumes for him and sitting him out for each other to see and we die laughing at him.  I have even taken pics of him dressed up in little costumes.  Now don't tell anyone that I told you this.

LOL...I love BQ!  Man, I would kill to have your job!  LOL.  I remember when Furbies first came out; my sister and I were in elementary school and we both wanted one soooo bad my parents eventually stopped taking us with them to any store they might be sold in because we'd sit and play with them.

ROFL!! Dang that made me laugh. I could just see you arguing with the Furby aka, spirit from the other side. Actually, I know that this sort of thing has occurred, though not sure it was a Furby. lol.

Baby Quirky
would drive this mom insane.  Furbies are possessed.  My daughter had one and that sucker would go off at the oddest times, usually when I walked past it.  At first I thought maybe it was someone from the otherside trying to get my attention, but after begging and pleading to find another way to do it, the damn thing kept it up!  I determined the little bastard was simply evil and hated me!
