Great river description. Interesting notes on Goya and the Duchess. Have already skimmed the later photo entries for Seville and am looking forward to reading them thoroughly soon. A little perturbed again that you're getting cheesed off with this place. Once more, please do not leave. It's not how many readers you have, but what you do to them that's important. Your words move me. That river description was exquisite. |

Just passin' thro' right now. Thanks for your comment. Wow! will you have a red rose clenched in your even white teeth? I shall be carrying a rolled copy of The Times, and wearing a white carnation in my buttonhole.

Good travel writing. I was in Seville for a day in Feb 04, took the train
up from a conference in Rota. I would have like the boat ride but didn't have time for it. I did enjoy the buggy ride thru the park looking at the mustard colored buildings and orange trees and of course the beautiful cathedral. I took a picture of Christopher Columbus' tomb, not knowing who was buried inside until I saw it on a documentary a year later.

Ah, Seville. May I meet you and your lady for La Feria de Abril? Take the Puente de la Barqueta over to the south side of the Río Guadalquivir you'll discover me waiting beneath the best of the decorated marquees amongst the thousands of revellers, enjoying a night of sevillanas and flamenco dancers.

Arial,
What a wonderful description! I would have chosen the cruise myself just to be able to catch all the splendid sites that you have witnessed. I know what you mean about blogit now. Its hard to enjoy the good stuff with all of the crap that is being thrust upon us. If you noticed there are many of the good writers who have taken a leave of absence because of all the conflict. Its sad that there is so much negativism on here. Even I had enough this week of all the hate and accusations. Shadow
