Well, MW, that sounds like Sunday around here........

I made applesauce Friday, but it's gone already (kids & grandkids) and yesterday my sister and I made 4 big apple and walnut pies.  They, too, are gone.  Well, it does no good around here.  I can't hold on to it long enough to can it.  lol  But, it does sound yummy to have it in the winter.

Yes, you do have a different air about you - nothing like before your honey came home.  You will soon be a permanent housewife (that's not bad).  Well, sounds like you've lots to keep you busy, so GIT ER DONE!  lol

I find it very interesting how the tone of your blog has become more calm after Carl came back for a few weeks. It's as if you've been revived.

Nice description of a Lazy Sunday. The smell of pot roast--very nice detail to include.

MW,

I'll make a deal with you. I'll clean the bathroom if you will put that roast on, bake the homemade bread and let me help make the applesauce. But I won't kiss you!!! I'll even sleep on the floor. LOL Shadow

I love Sundays...
especially the ones that manage to encapsulate what you always think of Sundays as being. Sounds like you had one today. Hope that feeling carries on into the week.

LOL!  I haven't been sewing long, if it involves a pattern I am screwed.  Drapes are easy as long as your get the lines remotely straight LOL!

As for being a Military wife...it's a job I hope to retire from very soon LOL!

Wifey,
Sounds like a great Sunday. I'm happy for you that you stay so positive and upbeat, and I mean that with all sencerity, no sarcasm intended. You're the bestest, ya know? I'll give you my address if you send me some applebutter. I love that stuff!!!!

Military Wife...Doesn't sound easy being a Military Wife....
Boy, I have a lot of respect for you...I hope those days fly by 'til Carl is back in your arms again. What a great house you keep. And to make drapes? Holy sh...! That's incredible. Wish I could sew well. I don't. Trust me. Okay, I cook well....that roast smells good. Good post.

Quirky

LOL!  I did go get the roast and is about to become soup as I have eaten my fill, along with mashed potatoes and garlic bread.

As for being Susy Homemaker, only when I feel like it LOL!

You are a regular susie homemaker aren't you (and I mean that with NO disrespect...in fact, if you put a roast in, I'll jump on a plane and be right over!!).

Nope, I'm thinking Texas is probably still too hot and besides, I tend to be addicted to my flannel sheets!

That sounds like such a heavenly place to be in....I would love a good rump roast....gravy with yeast rolls is just about my favorite thing in the world....if my shoulder didn't hurt like the dickens right now I'd be motivated by your post to get up and go into town to get one and get cookin' myself!!  I'm so glad your calendar is getting smaller....that's wonderful.  Ummmm, since you've got all that energy....want to come to Texas and work some off on my floors...I'll give you some sheets!!!
