Yes, there is really is.  I don't know what others call it, but that is what the guys in the unit refer to it as.  It's really pretty sad whne other women bust their butts to EARN their rank and respect and someone like this woman makes it all that much harder for them.

There's such a thing as a rank whore? That really never occured to me even though I'm an avid MASH fan.

MIWife,

That's one of the most interesting things about meeting people from different country. I got that saying from an Australian.

LOL!

My first was also 12 years.  I have to admit I gave some serious consideration to either becoming a celibate or a lesbian after him.  Figured if all men were like that I did NOT need or want it.

He really thought he could share???  LOLOLOL!!!

You were married to my first husband???  Not sure if it's actually a brain there, but some do tend to think with that area.

men have brains between their legs?
OH MY GOD, i was once married for 12 yrs and i rarely saw much between his legs let alone any sight of a brain.

LOL!
I generally prefer my men to have a brain beyond the one hanging between their legs LOLOL!  This one I am guessing had a very small brain and his was NOT between his shoulders

Yes, it does.  We are now look at the backside of this deployment more time behind us than in front of us.  When he left in December it felt like a lifetime away (we were also expecting an 18 month tour at the time), while it still feels much too long, it's not nearly as bad.

You sound pretty human to me.  Totally normal to get feeling that way on occasion.  The difference is that you don't act on it.  Big difference.   And time does eventually pass

Loser is a good word.  As I stated he is not the brightest bulb on the strand so smooth is not his forte'.  I doubt he will get far with anyone.

I'll have to go take a look.  I have to admit the concept of my husband and his wife in a combat zone and him trying (at least that is my assumption, I could have read the conversation wrong) to pick up some on the side makes me sick to my stomach.  I won't say it's easy and I won't say that there haven't been times when I really, really wanted someone to just touch me...but it is not worth a few minutes of fun to hurt someone that I love.

These guys don't seem to have much respect, but they don't seem to have any shame either.   You should read Medusa's recent "sex for bugs" post (that's not the title but that's the subject matter).  You could probably relate, based on your experience with this guy.  Same kind of attitude.

I have to admit, I had a good deal of fun with this.  I told my husband that I did it...rumors fly all to fast within these units.  He laughed and said "don't worry all the guys will be jealous!"

All I know is they are not impressive to ANYONE.  They offend the wives by having zero respect for anyone's marriage and the soldiers generally have little use for them because it seems they get away with just about anything as long as they are sleeping with the right people.  Luckily, they seem to be few and far between.

MiliWife, I know the type of pepole you're referring to. I saw a lot of
that, As far as the female goes we referred to them as "Barracuda" We referred to the husbands as "Barracuda Bait" When a guy tried to move in on one of the women that didn't want attention we referred to them as "cutbait"

Oh yes they do!  either way, I don't play and I take offense to those who assume I would with them.  So basically, I handled him in the best way I could think of.  Yes, I can play (so obviously I am not some frustrated wife left behind) but you lack the qualifications LOL!
