The Crescent Moon

tonight the crescent moon hangs on the southernmost curve as if it could swing to and fro like a baby's cradle holding the blackened sphere its pale orange light emits a glow that reaches beyond our understanding we have been watching this moon for eons from caveman times to times of rocket ships...
