My mom and I went halfsies to rent a carpet cleaning machine. Hopefully my son gets the carpets nice and clean for the open house on Sunday. My neighbors were kind enough to not only cut up the big tree but also carry almost all of the wood to the side of the road for the city to pick it up. I had to go to the store yesterday. I drove down one street over from us to get there. Lo and behold I saw at least 3 very tall trees roots and all plucked up and lying on the front lawn as if they were broccoli ready to be picked. They were completely intact.
