After having nearly a week's worth of rain and a few days of high winds, John and I assumed that our bathroom ceiling leak was due to a loose shingle. Not only are we experiencing flooding in my area, but my bathroom ceiling sprung a leak last night. The bad part is that John can't even begin to see where the roof is leaking from because it has not stopped raining for the past few days and my neck of the woods is showing rain until tomorrow... I feel so much relief in that whatever crazy weather was going to happen somehow managed to pass us by completely except for some thunder and a few hours of heavy rain. Thankfully, John is off work today, so I don't have to deal with the predicted severe weather alone. We expect 58 MPH winds, thunderstorms, and hail around 4:00 pm today. I got out and enjoyed an afternoon walk yesterday, and once the rain stops this afternoon I plan to take another one before the high winds ruin any chance of enjoying the 64-degree weather today.
