On and On

It just never ends, at the end of the hearing the dad's attorney asked for a placement hearing for Piggens, which is just crazy. Charlie is claiming that Aunt Joyce is unfit to keep Piggens. His biggest claim is that Piggens was hurt under her care. Well the only time he was hurt was when a plastic hand held spinner helicopter came back at him and hit his face. A Piggens Evening

Went to Piggens house after he got home from school the day of the court decision and of course I brought Stanley along. Piggens did not know of the hearings for his fate but he must have sensed something was up. he is good at figuring things out by himself- maybe because he had to to get by living with his dad. A Day in Court

Went to court today and experienced an emotional roller coaster listening to the closing arguments from both sides and than the judges determination. Listening to the states case it seemed like there is no way they would give Piggens back to his dad and then listening to his attorneys arguements made me wonder if the judge was agreeing., And when he spoke he started by discribing Charlie way better then he is, discribing Charlie as a person people like socially which is not true- most people... The start of court

Since I wasn't working that day I attended the first day of the hearings- actually the first half since that is all Joyce could attend as she had to pick up Piggens early from school. She wanted me there to upset Charlie- Piggens dad. It worked not so much the first day but the next days Charlie kept turning around to look at Joyce and she would just smile. Eve of the hearings

News today

Interesting news today and I don't know how to take it. They have set aside five court days for the hearing for Piggens. To me it is extra scary- I don't know if that is a common thing for a case like this or is this case very abnormal. In Washington the parents have the first rights but that has backfired so much with the kids who suffered. Piggens Play

Getting to see Piggens pretty regular with my new schedule. Though I missed his school play the other night when he played the classic role of a weed. I wanted to go so bad which is pretty amazing since I've sat through a lot of other school plays for my own kids and never wished for more. 3 Buddys Night out

Got to spend the evening alone with my little buddy.First we went to a lake park in the rain with the dog. then I took him to a restuarant to introduce him to a friend who knows his story. Then to my house to visit with my daughter and her kitty before I took him home. It was fun and a good break for his Aunt. He did know about untill his ride to school. the road ahead

Things do look positive sometimes-they can't tell us exactly what's going on but they try to reassure Joyce to keep working for a future with Piggens. It makes Joyce happy of course but it makes her worry about her living situation and her finances, and no car of her own, and being a somewhat disabled fiftysomething with a energetic little boy. thanks for your concern

Thank you for all your concern, I'd like to keep you more up to date and give you more of a running story but I just can't get into the writing habit. I'm even trying the Dragon program since I can't type that great and I use a laptop which makes it harder to type. Works great when I'm alone and not self-conscious of talking to my computer.
