Elizabeth Revisited
Today my friend Elizabeth buried her husband. He was young, had cancer left her and two young sons. We had his Wake at our little Bowlo; it’s just across the road from where they lived. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a Wake, particularly one that wasn’t a Maori one. Maori people call a Wake a tangi.
