When "no news" is gratefully welcomed, as being very GOOD news!

My best friend David underwent a seriously scary operation, yesterday. He had triple-bypass surgery and some stents inserted into his arteries but when he called me to let me know that this was about to be done, he sounded as though he wasn’t frightened. When I learned about it, I was frightened for him but David had to have been terrified.
