Remembrance

I'm not sure whether the same ceremonies are observed in America or Canada; today we have had our annual memorial services, throughout the UK, for those who gave their lives in war so that we can enjoy living in freedom. Shipwrecked?

The collect for today, the 12th Sunday after Trinity, speaks of God being more ready to listen than we are to pray. How true that is. Should I be asking for more grace?
