A BEAUTIFUL DAY
All this crazy weather we're having! It's making me nuts! One moment it rains and is miserable, the next we are sweltering and praising the sunlight! Ah, Maine weather! We plan to go out and see MARMADUKE, but probably not until sometime next week. I can't wait to see it and neither can Roommie,... Sign in to see full entry.

JUST A BIT MORE BEFORE BED
THE GATHERING SHADOWS Kiev, Ukraine, 2 January, 1945 I stand at the window, watching. Heavy snowflakes fall like feathers from a fat goose. It is only early evening, about seven o’clock, I think, but too dark for any wandering traveller to find their way safely. So, I simply wait. I will pounce at a... Sign in to see full entry.
A RAY OF LIGHT
Even in sadness, God sends us light. I rang Mum a while ago, and all is well. The surgery was a success, and she isn't in too much pain, thank Godness. She has to wear a plaster for at least six weeks and will return to Doctor Livingston-no kidding about the name, she couldn't see my surgeon as he's... Sign in to see full entry.
A PAINFUL DECISION...SO HEARTBROKEN
We still haven't heard back on the blood work, but I think both Roommie and I have reached the same decision. Painful as it will be for us-We only lost Meeko three years ago-we're going to tell the vet that as soon as we can get the two hundred dollars together, we will bring Nikki to them and let... SEE YOU IN HEAVEN, RUE
How sad...I've just read online that Miss Rue MacClanahan passed away early this morning as the result of a stroke. She was seventy-six years old. And a wonderfully kind-hearted, compassionate funny lady! Rue was best known for her roles in MAUDE, in which she starred opposite Bea Arthur, who we... Sign in to see full entry.
WANDERING OFF FOR A WHILE
Well, Roommie and kitty are home now, and we should have the results by the end of today...so anxious...and a bit. I'm off to have some lunch and maybe a work out and then I'll be back to write and probably read some more of you all. Sign in to see full entry.
ANXIOUS
Roommie has taken our poor oldest cat to the vet and hasn't come back yet. He finally perked up a bit last night, but I still have a bad feeling. I promised Roommie that we would make no final decisions until his blood work comes back, and we won't. But we're not going to allow him to suffer. Why is... Sign in to see full entry.

ROUGH DAYS AHEAD
Why is it that misfortune always comes double fold? I just got off the phone with Mum, and she let me know that she has to have surgery on her wrist tomorrow afternoon. They have to put pins in the wrist to keep the bones in place. It's only a day surgery, thank God. I also thank God that Grammy... Sign in to see full entry.
PRAYERS FOR THE PEOPLE IN NORTHERN ENGLAND
Dear God... I cannot understand it. What could possibly cause a human being to snap to the point of killing twelve innocent people and wounding twenty-five others before ending their own lives? How are people driven to such dispair and hatred that they can see no other means of solving their... Sign in to see full entry.

SHOULD I END IT?
I'm beginning to wonder if I should just hurry up and end my story. In my heart I don't feel it's finished yet, but I sometimes wonder if my writings don't bore you all to death! I know that I can write, but I also know sometimes I tend to go on forever about things. Sigh. What should I do? Sign in to see full entry.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY
Happy Memorial Day, my friends! First of all, thank you all very much for the kind words and prayers for my Mum. She is uncomfortable, but that is to be expected. Now I await word on when she'll be able to get in to see my surgeon. Will keep you all updated when possible. Sadly, I think the time is... Sign in to see full entry.

OUCH!
Hi everyone... I'd like to ask for prayers for my Mum. She had to go to the ER earlier this evening, and found out she has broken her wrist in two places. She's fine, and they've put her in a temporary plaster with a sling to keep her arm elevated. It happened last night while she was playing with... Sign in to see full entry.
