My Grandfather Baking Bread

Or How The Times Have Changed Just got finished putting a loaf of cinnamon bread in the oven. While mixing it all up from the ready to go mix, I started thinking of my Grandfather, who is going to be moving up here in the next month or so, and how he used to always be baking freash bread from... Not Living Up To My Full Potential

Being out of a job you do look at things a little differently. Although I have been very aware of this problem of mine and so have others in my life. My friend who I rarely see was over the other day and it was one thing he started to talk about, and he knows me better than just about anyone else in... Sign in to see full entry.

Job hunting really sucks

This is the first time in my life that I have ever had to really look for a job. I have had a regular job for the last 11 and half years, ever since my senior year in high school. To be out of work just does not feel right. And then to have to hunt around to find a job. It is just annoying. I so... Sign in to see full entry.

An Obituary

Obituaries come off almost insulting to me. They take a person's life and turn it into just a few lines. My mother's cousin's obituary said nothing at all about him. It mentioned his surviving relatives and where the service was going to be held, but it said nothign about the man. It could have at... Sign in to see full entry.

And then something for a laugh

It often seems like there always has to be that one little bit more added to any group of crazy events. That one little thing that is just strange to end a run of stressful happenings. And it is always that one little thing that just helps by giving you a laugh. I guess fate just figures it all out... Sign in to see full entry.

And the hits keep keep coming

This year has just been hard enough already, but this last week just had it all it seems. Yesterday it all seemed to hit. My stepfather is right now in intensive care for a heart attack. My mother's cousin died (He was a big influence on me when I was a child. I plan to write a whole post just about... Sign in to see full entry.

Life can really hit you hard at times

Yesterday I got laid off. For the first time in over eleven years I do not have a job. It really does not feel right. I worked for Wal-Mart ( yes, I already knew it was a great evil, but it paid the bills). They have had a rough year due to them helping to keep the economy down. So they went after a... It is all meaningless

You watch TV and you see that we have some sick obsession with those who are wealthy, famous and powerful. Yet for most people that have wealth, power or fame it is 100% meaningless. All in all they di very little if anything worth wild with what they have. Et was going off about Tory Spelling's... Sign in to see full entry.

Kilts

I was part of a wedding today and all the guys wore kilts. They really are not hat bad. Nice are airy. I found the formal vest and jacket to be more annoying. I can easily see why kilts were worn. They are easier to work with than pants and do give you more freedom of movement. So I think men need... Sign in to see full entry.

Viewing the world around us

How often do people really try to see the world forma different point of view? I used to lay on my back in our living room and look at the ceiling as though it was the floor. It was a different world altogether. In fact it is often amazing at how just a small change of position can show you the... Sign in to see full entry.
