WE GOT THE PAINT NOW

My wife and I (Mostly my wife) picked out the new color for our bedroom. It is a light purple (Would have been a darker purple if I had not stepped in) with a light blue trim (Once more my wife was going for a much darker color). The walls will be darker than the really light blue on them now. I... Sign in to see full entry.

GOT A BUSY WEEK AHEAD OF ME IT LOOKS LIKE

Now we have to start getting the bedroom ready for the new furniture and that is not going to be a small task. Our bedroom is a mess. We also need to clean out all of the old furniture, although some of the smaller pieces we are just going to move filled and empty them once the new stuff is in... Sign in to see full entry.

THERE ARE ALWAYS NEW PROJECTS TO WORK ON

Right as I am finishing up my little castle stairwell project, my wife ends up creating all kinds of new work for me to do. My wife has been trying to justify getting a new bed room set for some time now and finally last night we went out and found one. So this week we have to get our bedroom ready... STAGES OF LIFE

This is my follow up to yesterday's post. Yesterday I talked about the various vacations that were stepping stone. The first the two that come to mind both took place in about a month or so of each other. Not really sure which one happened first, I think it was the wedding, but I am not sure. It was... GETTINNG OUT ON OUR OWN

In my whole adult life there has so far only been three times I have done out of state trips without my parents. Only one of those since I have had kids. Out of those three trips none of them really needed much planning. Two were roads trips and one was flying to visit my wife's family. We have done... Sign in to see full entry.

THE CASTLE IS COMING ALONG NICELY

I figured I would give you all an update to my creative insanity of painting the stairwell. I have finished all the high up painting and am done with the evil ladder which smashed my thumbs. It is all looking really nice. I have some more brick pattern to add to one wall. I am now working on the... Sign in to see full entry.

MORE STUPID COMMERCIALS

Not sure where the logic is in some of these. You have George Jetson selling dishwasher tablets. Not really sure how cartoon dishes prove just who well the stuff works. Of course you also are looking at a talking dishwasher from the future which you would think would be able to clean the dishes... Sign in to see full entry.

TIME TO THANK A FEW CHRISTIANS HERE ON BLOGIT

Contrary to what some seem to believe I have nothing against Christians as a whole. I do have serious issues with some of the ideals that seem to have been twisted within many factions of the faith. But I understand the basic aspects of Christianity if followed correctly can be a very good thing. I... Sign in to see full entry.

IN-LAW DYNAMICS

All-in-all my wife and I are lucky. We get along with our in-laws well. In fact my wife has bonded almost too well with my mother. But I have seen other situations where there are some real problems with in-laws. Some friends of ours who are living with his mother are having some serious problems. I... DEALING WITH FEAR

Working on painting my stairwell has been an experience. One thing that I did notice though was just how unsettled I was at first when working on the ladder to paint the high areas. By the second day though I really was much more stable on the ladder and did not notice the height as much as I had... Sign in to see full entry.
