Blogger Admits to Love Affair, Not with a Woman -- PHC

Without doing any real research, I would like to tell you about the winter experience I have with "A Prairie Home Companion". The idea is that out on the prairie (here) the winters are long and tough. We get through it with humor. Example. "We are a simple people, we come from a tough, gritty stock... Blogger Sends message of thanks...........

Spring break is continuing at an easy pace. I am forcing myself to rest, take naps and limit my activities, My youngest daughter has chosen to find a job. So we have been applying and interviewing. She got two interviews at a mega store, so we had to get her an I.D. I am ready to cooperate with her,... Sign in to see full entry.

She is my #1 Blogger for Good Reason.......................................

A word about my father. As I commented to Ari this AM, we can easier come to terms with the differences that we have with our parents, by attempting to see them from a global perspective. Where exactly were they, what were they going through when they passed through their formative years? "Where... Sign in to see full entry.

The Sopranos...........................................................

Today was interesting: 1. Took Uncle John to Verizon to get a new cell phone; 2. Changed his name to hip hop John due to the ring tone we couldn't get changed; 3. Called Chelsea out of her bedroom where she was hiding from March Madness, to change the ring tone; 4. Watched my Alma Mater (UK) get... Sign in to see full entry.

A Few Bloggers are dealing with loss, looking for new gigs.................

Well, I got out among the other Iowans today. Seems that there is a lot of short-temperedness regarding yesterday's last minute defeat of the top-ranked Iowa Hawkeyes. It was a forty-footer that won the game with 0.4 seconds left on the clock. Everywhere you turn, newpaper, local channels, radio, TV... Sign in to see full entry.

Bloggers, with the backing of the secret police, control the world!........

Well, here's a bit of higher thinking for you: Iowa lost that game in a hard-fought, one point margin. I will not say that they didn't believe in themselves, I won't say that the Protestant work ethic, demonstrative teamwork as opposed to individual star-making, caused them to lose. But take note,... This Blogger Seduced by Madness!.......................

Yo! I sit here tonight a completed person. I didn't have to do anything but put one foot in front of the other. The path lain out for me is as clear as if I had a tour guide. The past three weeks have been as hectic and filled with challenging work as any time in my life. We tested nearly a hundred... Sign in to see full entry.

I sat in the front of the high school at ten till three yesterday, convinced that I would find my sophomore before she got her ride to her mom's place where she waits for me. I began by simply reading a few comments on my Blackberry and trying to answer them, although frequently, the little guy... Sign in to see full entry.

This blogger makes a full confession.......................................

A week later and I have a lot to report. We tested every ESL student in our school. It was the English Language Development Assessment (ELDA). Three one-hour tests and one thirty minute test. Stated grandly, that is eighty times three point five, for roughly two hundred eighty hours of testing. But... Sign in to see full entry.

The student Dean stepped into my room yesterday. He was on other business, but he wanted to know how the ESL Placement testing was going. He knows that, like last year, if we don't get it done, then he has to do it himself. I was able to report that we are 99.9% finished. That is, out of 80... Sign in to see full entry.
