Lost Generation?
Last night I watched a TV show about the history of Pop music. One of the talking heads was Pete Townsend of the Who. Something he said struck home for me. They were the generation who had to live in the shadow of the Post war heroes, and he said:" sadly for us they F******* won!" What he meant was, that their fathers made sure they were reminded about how grateful they should be and how they should have no life of their own and spend the rest of it owing and feeling guilty.
